WeWork Partners with 2U, Inviting Online Graduate Students Inside
Co-working giant WeWork has been very busy as of late. From announcements about opening an elementary school, to acquiring social events network Meetup, WeWork’s newest partnership aims to serve graduate students.
By partnering with 2U Inc., WeWork is opening its doors to enrolled students to offer study hall space and access to the co-working behemoth’s amenities. 2U is an online education provider that develops courses for graduate programs at schools like New York University, University of California, Berkeley and more. Now, across WeWork’s 207 locations, graduate students taking online degree courses can tap into the resources (pun intended), like free wifi and on-tap kombucha or beer.
The founding couple, Adam and Rebecca Neumann, have recently been focusing on education. WeWork has begun testing the elementary school in New York, and also acquired Flatiron School, a coding academy.
