West Michigan Health Campus Midway to $1B Build-Out
Metro Health and University of Michigan Health System reached the halfway point of the targeted $1-billion investment build-out of Metro Health Village in Wyoming, MI. The 180-acre, West Michigan campus and adjacent properties is south of Grand Rapids.
The next phases of the project being developed by Granger Group are envisioned as a cluster of medical and life science facilities, similar to Medical Mile in downtown Grand Rapids. The campus, located north of M-6 expressway and east of Byron Center Avenue, is expected to evolve over the coming decade.
In addition to medical facilities, next-tier types of uses are being added. That includes hotels, restaurants and on-site retailers. Granger is developing an $8-million Fairfield Inn and Suites hotel at 5970 Metro Way, in partnership with Farmington Hills, MI-based Stellar Hospitality.
