Small Spaces, Huge Perks
In the 1960s, Herman Miller introduced the office cubicle to the workplace- an invention that is now becoming obsolete. With the booming tech industry transforming workplaces to include a work-live-play aura, open and collaborative spaces have taken over.
Today’s office worker averages 175 square feet of space. Thus, a tradeoff arises between private spaces and necessary perks to incentivize employees to actually want to be in the office, rather than having to feel as though it is a punishment.
Connect Media took note of this trend, and has moved into its brand-new office space at 515 S. Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles. Although the space is relatively small, the high-ceilings, comfortable lounge area, putting green, and warm atmosphere creates an inviting environment for employees and guests alike.
