Historic Asset Renovation Completed in DC
MRP Realty completed the renovation and repositioning of 1333 H Street, a nearly 270,000-square-foot office property in Washington, DC’s East End submarket. Constructed in 1912 and 1982, the two-building asset is located on the corner of 14th and H streets.
The Washington, DC-based developer sold the asset in December 2015, though stayed on as manager and shepherded the property though Historic Preservation Review Board approvals and secured necessary entitlements.
MRP Realty’s Jackson Prentice says, “We acquired this building in large part because we recognized its unique features. Through the renovation and repositioning process, we have sought to emphasize the details through prominent lighting and enhancing interesting views, utilizing them to produce creative office spaces for our tenants.”
Currently 95% leased, 1333 H Street’s major tenants include the Center for American Progress and The Institute of International Finance, Inc.
