HCA Strikes $135M Deal for Forest Park Hospital in Dallas
HCA North Texas, located in Irving TX, has struck a deal to buy the Dallas hospital of the bankrupt Forest Park Medical Center. HCA will pay $135 million to purchase the 190,000-square-foot, 84-bed hospital from FPMC Realty Partners III and BT Forest Park Realty Partners.
The building at 11990 N. Central Expy., was the flagship hospital of the high-end, doctor-owned Texas hospital chain. However, FPMC Realty Partners was plagued by financial difficulties, resulting in bankruptcies on its Frisco, TX hospital in September. The Dallas facility was shut down the following month, followed by the San Antonio hospital.
Once the transaction is finalized, Sabra Health Care REIT Inc., the lender for FPMC Realty Partners, will have received a total of $325.5 million for the Dallas, Fort Worth and Frisco locations.
