Women in Real Estate 2020: Better World’s Terri Clifton Sees Value in People and Properties

Clifton is known as “fair but firm” is said to possess an uncanny ability to see value in people and properties where others see only problems and challenges. Her advice and counsel are sought and appreciated by multifamily investors nationwide.
These are just some of the reasons we chose Clifton as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
During the 2020 pandemic, Clifton has kept her team safe but out in front of customers and issues daily. Instead of withdrawing or complaining, she set about finding ways to help residents pay rent.
Clifton freely shares new best practices with industry colleagues, and has helped political leaders understand. She recently provided insightful estimates to an inquiring congressman that show the needs of the apartment industry are not as dire as many believe. Her input is helping shape the national discussion about aid to owners and renters.
