2020 Next Generation Honoree: Avison Young’s Chris Godfrey is Accomplished Tenant Rep Professional

Atlanta native Chris Godfrey graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and joined Avison Young in 2015. He specializes in tenant representation and third-party landlord representation focusing in the office sector. Godfrey has been involved with the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and Young Commercial Realtors of Atlanta and has leased more than two million square feet of office space across Atlanta for his clients.

Godfrey served as the youngest president of the Buckhead Business Association in 2018; fulfilling a three-year commitment where he led a volunteer board of 30 leaders, hired a new executive director, grew membership and sponsorships and helped with events like Taste of Buckhead, monthly breakfasts and ribbon-cuttings.

He was the recipient of the Simply Buckhead Rising Star Award, and in 2018 became a member of the Buckhead Coalition. Godfrey sits on the economic development committee for the Metro Atlanta Chamber and is an active member of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Community Board and several other organizations.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Godfrey to be one of the Atlanta and Southeast region 2020 Next Generation Award Winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
