2020 Next Generation Honoree: Cushman & Wakefield’s Jorgi Paul Finds Success in Shift from Media to CRE

Jorgi Paul is a Senior Associate on Kip Paul’s prolific Investment Sales team at Cushman & Wakefield in Salt Lake City. The team ranks as the highest producing sales team in Utah and has consecutively achieved this standing for each of the past 20-plus years with a sales volume exceeding $6 billion.

Paul brings a combination of sophisticated marketing strategy, passion for client services and commitment to storytelling to commercial real estate. She earned her degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Chapman University in Southern California and joined OMD in Los Angeles, where she directed digital media strategy teams for the world’s leading media agency. She was responsible for planning more than $500 million in media strategies for consumer packaged goods and entertainment clients, including numerous Super Bowl campaigns.

After 10 years in Southern California, Paul decided it was time to move home to Salt Lake City, Utah and try her hand at a new challenge, commercial real estate. She had no professional experience in the field, though her dad is the most successful investment real estate broker in the market, and she had essentially “grown up” in the capital market business. Paul did recognize an opportunity to tell the story of Salt Lake City in the height of its vibrant transformation to investors from around the world.

In the nearly three years since entering the commercial real estate industry, she has played an integral role alongside her team in winning and closing $630 million of business across 90 properties. Most recently, Paul earned CCIM Rookie of The Year.

She helps lead the financial underwriting and creation of her team’s marketing materials, such as Offering Memorandums and other property presentation materials. Paul’s ability to creatively see and solve challenges is owed in part to a background not commonly found in the real estate world, but one rooted in the highest level of detail and client service. The team recently pitched and won a disposition assignment from a sophisticated developer for a brand new, Class A, 350-unit apartment in one of Utah’s fastest-growing areas.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Paul as one of the Phoenix 2020 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
