Women in Real Estate 2019: CBRE’s Nicole LaRusso Makes the Statistics Matter

Director of research and analysis for CBRE’s Northeast division, Nicole LaRusso goes beyond reporting the statistics and explains why they matter. Under her leadership, CBRE was the first to the market in 2018 in providing data on the influence of co-working flexible space in the Manhattan office market. This regional report was followed up by a national document outlining what to expect from flex space in the next business cycle.

The information and insights published by LaRusso and her team provide CBRE’s clients and the news media with information to better understand the market and make smarter real estate decisions. Further, her frequent appearances in the media are a testament to her clear and concise insights on current commercial real estate trends extrapolated from the data mined by her team.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose LaRusso as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Rather than possessing a transactional background, LaRusso previously worked at the Alliance for Downtown New York as an SVP for planning and economic development. Her experience in advocacy and public policy helps her to create compelling market narratives that communicate current trends and data. LaRusso also makes it a practice to hire and mentor young professionals who aspire to broader roles in commercial real estate.
