Women in Real Estate 2019: Sunbeam’s Maridee Bell Known as Committed, Diligent Professional

For 26 years, Maridee Bell has overseen leasing and marketing for more than five million square feet of office, industrial and flex space at Sunbeam Properties & Development’s Miramar Park of Commerce, the largest locally-owned and managed business park in South Florida.

Since joining Sunbeam as an administrative assistant in 1993, she has blazed the trail for women in commercial real estate, climbing the ranks over the course of 26 years to become vice president of leasing and marketing for the Miramar Park of Commerce, the largest locally- owned and managed business park in South Florida.

Bell plays an instrumental role in retaining existing tenants and attracting new companies to the Park. In 2019 alone, she brought several large-scale new tenants to the Park, facilitating the successful relocation of operations centers and corporate headquarters totaling more than 100,000 square feet of space.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Bell as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. She has maintained a plant-based diet and lost more than 90 lbs., a journey that has given her a new and improved perspective on life.
