Top Broker Honorees: Mark Myers, Joshua Jandris and Charles Hilding

The Chicago-based team of Mark Myers, Joshua Jandris and Charles Hilding at Institutional Property Advisors, a division of Marcus & Millichap, has closed more than 550 seniors housing transactions totaling more than $5.3 billion. In 2018, the team arranged 29 deals valued at $410,365,000.

Notably, in 2018 the team sold the real estate for eight nursing homes leased long-term to Care Spring, located in Ohio and Kentucky, for $182.5 million, which represented a price of $180,000 per licensed bed. The buyer was a private fund, and the seller was a joint venture between a large REIT and a pension fund.

A key feature of the Care Spring transaction was that it allowed the partners interested in staying in place to buy out their other partners.
