Next Generation Honoree: LPC’s Aaron Martell Makes Things Happen

Aaron Martell serves as EVP at Logistics Property Company (LPC), where he’s responsible for development and leasing in the Midwest region and capital market activity across North America. Prior to helping launch LPC as a founding director, Martell was an EVP at Ridge Development. There, he oversaw more than seven million square feet of development in a 36-month period.

Martell’s commercial real estate experience goes beyond industrial development. Before Ridge, he worked at Banc of America Securities in the real estate capital markets group. He participated in more than $5 billion of completed real estate transactions across three product segments: corporate investment banking, lodging and gaming, and commercial real estate banking.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Martell to be one of the Chicago 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Industry colleagues say Martell’s ability to take a pulse on any situation, and act accordingly, shows business acumen, emotional intelligence, maturity and compassion beyond his years. “He knows when to escalate or diffuse a situation; and whether it requires a simple word of encouragement, a joke, a round of ping-pong, coffee or a round of drinks,” says one colleague. “Put simply, he’s a humble leader who makes things happen.”
