Next Generation Honoree: Bialow’s Andrew Mahr Identifies New Concepts

Recently promoted to VP, Andrew Mahr is an integral part of the tenant representation team at Bialow Real Estate, coordinating expansion plans, relocations and renewals for several prominent national retail chains. His attention to detail, passion for the industry and drive to succeed have propelled him forward.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Mahr to be one of the Boston 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

A third-generation industry professional, Mahr has been on the forefront of identifying new concepts outside the traditional “retail” realm. An example is Little Sprouts, a New England-based child care facility that was pursuing locations within traditional retail corridors. He met with ownership and explained the advantages of having a master broker. Little Sprouts is now one of his clients.

Mahr has also impressed his colleagues with giving to communities in other ways. During 2013, he witnessed the Boston Marathon bombing firsthand. He was so moved that the next day, with no previous experience, he vowed to run the Marathon the following year. He spent the year raising money and completed the marathon. To date, he and his running group have raised more than $5.5 million for the Massachusetts General Hospital Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Program.
