Next Generation Honoree: Samuels’ Mika Gross Balances Work with Community Service
Only two years out of her undergraduate studies, Mika Gross manages the interior fit-outs for approximately 300,000 square feet of office and retail throughout the Samuels & Associates portfolio, including the flagship office tenant at 401 Park Dr. in Boston. In any given project, she directs a team of skilled consultants to carry out a common goal.
That’s just one of the reasons we chose Gross to be one of the Boston 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
Beyond her daily responsibilities at Samuels, Gross serves on Mayor Walsh’s Millennial Council, SPARK, where she spearheads an effort to study the impacts of real estate development on local communities with a group of fellow councilmembers representing real estate, City Hall, non-profits and academia. She also volunteers in the Commercial Real Estate Women’s (CREW) Golf Committee, and was selected as a task force member on CREW’s “Build Her Up” fundraising campaign, with both groups dedicated to raising funds to create scholarships for female students pursuing the field of real estate.
Gross also volunteers on the board of her alma mater’s Boston chapter as the Head of Young Alumni Engagement, with the personal goal of creating community for young alumni transitioning after graduation, and she also, volunteers with the United Way and its young professionals real estate group.
