Women in Real Estate 2018: Avison Young’s Heryet Earns Long-Term Client Loyalty
Nicola Heryet is a principal in Avison Young’s New York City office, focused on both landlord and tenant representation. Spanning over three decades, her career is filled with long-term, brand-name clients who repeatedly seek her expertise. An example is Kellwood Company, a major designer and manufacturer of premier fashion brands, which she has represented for more than 20 years.
Heryet has closed more than 25 million square feet of transactions throughout her career. She received the Real Estate Board of New York’s 2002 Robert T. Lawrence Memorial Award for the 740,000-square-foot relocation of the United Federation of Teachers headquarters. Other clients she has serviced during her career include Avon Products, Citrix Systems, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, Securitas Security Services USA and the World Health Organization.

For example, as the leasing agent for 654 Madison Ave., a 150,000-square-foot boutique office building in the Plaza District, she developed full-floor opportunities and repositioned the building, thus creating high-end pre-built units and leasing to a variety of tenants.
