Women in Real Estate 2018: C&W’s Noonan Instills a Creative Approach to Problem-Solving

In her current leadership role as managing principal at Cushman & Wakefield, Victoria Noonan is translating her wealth of experience and her philosophy into a new strategy and vision for the company’s Chicago operations. As she has always done herself, she instills a creative approach to client problem-solving in her 125 brokers, encouraging them to think of real estate quandaries as puzzles in need of out-of-the-box solutions.

Over the two years since she took the helm, Noonan has significantly enhanced Cushman & Wakefield’s Chicago platform, netting prestigious honors, attracting top area brokers, expanding investor services offerings, and driving strategic client engagement.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Noonan as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Colleagues say that Noonan brings vibrancy and authenticity to an industry that is focused on deal-making. She openly advocates for women, and encourages them to have a bias for action and to take smart, well-calculated risks.

One of her favorite speakers on gender equality in business is lawyer and politician Reshma Saujani (and founder of Girls Who Code), who declares that bravery, not perfection, unlocks doors. Noonan, too, believes in empowering bravery, and has first-hand experience reaping success from bold moves.
