Women in Real Estate 2018: Weitzman’s Caplan Ranks as a Top Producer in Retail

As a project rep and tenant rep for Weitzman, Michelle Caplan demonstrates that she thoroughly understands the retail business, from demographics to tenant mix, to merchandising and layout. Highlights of her recent deals as a tenant rep have included Jose Eber Salon, CycleBar, Smashburger, Piada, Pinkberry, Pet Supermarket and the high-profile restaurant Musume in downtown Dallas. As a project rep agent, she works at signature projects such as Hall Arts Tower in the Dallas Arts District, and West Plano Village.

That’s just one of the reasons we chose Caplan as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Caplan has been recognized numerous times for her outstanding work, both within Weitzman—where she ranks consistently among the top producers statewide—and in publications such as the Dallas Business Journal. Among her other accolades from the Business Journal, she is currently ranked as a Power Broker.

Even as Caplan stands out as a top-producing retail broker, she is also a leader and a mentor who has led her team to greater success thanks to her dedication, direction and example. One broker whom Caplan mentored, Gretchen Miller, joined Weitzman as an intern and was recently promoted to senior vice president.
