Women in Real Estate 2018: NKF’s Stumm Has a Sharp Eye for Detail

A “jack of all trades” in many facets of the business, including underwriting, marketing, prospecting, pitching, and technology, Laura Stumm also has an innate ability to look at a deal or process and identify its strengths and weaknesses.

As this relates to deals, she is able to articulate a story as to why a particular asset would be a valued investment for a particular investor, and is able to identify the groups for which it would make the most sense. As this relates to her 37-member investment sales team at NKF Capital Markets, she listens to her teammates and identifies the group’s daily strengths and weaknesses, stepping in to change a procedure or deal process if it isn’t being run as efficiently as possible.

These are just a couple of the reasons we chose Stumm as one of the 2018 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Stumm’s work ethic and attention to detail are assets on every deal. Clients appreciate the care she takes in the marketing of their properties, and potential buyers appreciate the transparency and follow-through she projects onto her deals.

Stumm is regarded as team-oriented, actively sharing best practices with her teammates and providing pragmatic solutions as they relate to personnel, processes and technology.
