Top Broker Honoree: CBRE’s Healthcare Capital Markets Group

CBRE has become the leading real estate advisor to the healthcare industry, thanks to its Healthcare Capital Markets Group. Led by Chris Bodnar and Lee Asher, the group completed 140 transactions in 2017 for a total of $2.6 billion.

For example, the team completed the final phase of the largest health system real estate monetization on record — 4.3 million square feet of medical office assets, totaling over $1 billion in value on behalf of Catholic Health Initiatives. The properties were spread over 14 states, and the sales closed in several phases in 2016 and 2017.

Also, in December 2017, the team completed the sale of 25 medical office buildings owned by IRET to Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, for a total of $367.7 million.
