Top Broker Honoree: Ariel’s Victor Sozio, Multifamily Property Sales

Victor Sozio of Ariel Property Advisors closed sales of apartment properties totaling $249 million in 2017. His 14 transactions last year totaled 437 million square feet of space.

Sozio is one of the founding members of Ariel. His deals in 2017 included the $18.75-million sale of a five-story apartment building in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood of Northern Manhattan. The building, at 104-110 W. 144th St., includes 60 apartments currently subsidized under the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) project-based Section 8 program.

Last year Sozio brokered the $110.25-million sale of Polyclinic for Manhattan’s largest fee simple multifamily deal in 2017. He was also the lead broker on the $24.75-million sale of a four-building, mixed-use portfolio with 111 apartments at 316 and 322-326 E. 117th St. and 1661 Park Ave. in East Harlem.
