Women in Real Estate Honoree: Sandy Benak, Granite Properties

After three decades of leasing office space in Houston, Sandy Benak created the in-house marketing team for Granite Properties, where she has been a leader for 17 years.

As Granite’s new director of corporate marketing, she is also leasing manager for Granite and continues to negotiate terms, draft leases, create relationships and work with construction firms, managers, and architects to create well designed and well-built tenant spaces.

Because she does so much — and succeeds at so much — we chose Benak to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for Texas. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who’ve reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.

Benak also has a passion for mentoring young people considering commercial real estate as a profession. She’s an active member of CRE Houston, and has served on the Houston NAIOP board.
