Next Generation Honoree: Vinny DiMeglio Makes Connections

Vinny DiMeglio creates opportunities. For example, he connected a life sciences company, Red Nucleus, with a century-old tannery building in Yardley, PA and a developer, ML7, who turned the 67,000-square-foot building into what Philadelphia Business Journal called one of the region’s “coolest offices.

That’s just one of the reasons we chose DiMeglio to be one of the five 2017 Next Generation Award winners for New York. Connect Media’s Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

As a managing director based in the Princeton, NJ office of Colliers International, DiMeglio has completed more than 400,000 square feet of office deals, valued at approximately $50 million since joining the firm in 2013. That’s a lot of volume for the Princeton market, where small and mid-sized companies use most of the space. In 2016, he had the third highest annual production in New Jersey.

He started his career as a commercial broker in 2009, during the Financial Crisis. He created an informal network of office leasing brokers with less than 10 years of experience in 2015 that has grown to 25 members throughout the U.S. and Canada. He also shares his thoughts on the real estate business at his blog.

In 2016, he gained two prominent office listings through referrals by peers – at competing companies.
