J.C. Anderson Completes Loop Buildout for Engineering Firm

J.C. Anderson recently completed a 50,000-square-foot office buildout for Burns & McDonnell at 200 W. Adams St. in the Loop. An engineering firm headquartered in Kansas City, MO, Burns & McDonnell selected J.C. Anderson to complete a three-floor project at its Chicago office space.

Construction included the addition of multiple conference rooms, a pantry area, elevator lobby, a fully-integrated videoconferencing boardroom, a technology filled multi-purpose training room and a brand-new staircase to connect the floors. The space features an open ceiling concept and new finishes throughout.

“This was a fast-paced project and we made sure to maintain a high-level of communication from the beginning,” said project executive John Angelovich. “The structural complexity and coordination of the open staircase took precise coordination and completion was achieved two weeks ahead of schedule.”

The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by Angelovich and superintendent Darrel Panfil. Hydzik Schade Associates provided architectural services.
