Yacht Manufacturer Bertram to Establish Tampa HQ for $35M

Yacht manufacturer Bertram, LLC has announced it will establish its international headquarters and manufacturing center in Tampa, FL. The company plans a $35 million investment in a new facility and will hire 140 employees. The new facility will include headquarter offices, production, yacht service, maintenance and refit operations, parts sales and tooling storage.

Local media reported that Bertram Yachts, owned by Italian company Gavio Group, acquired a former yacht-building facility near the Westshore Yacht Club and Hula Bay Club for approximately $10.1 million. Gavio, which acquired the name and rights to the Bertram brand in 2015, has appointed Peter Truslow as CEO.
