XSell, Glassdoor Will Expand Chicago Footprints
Two tech firms in as many days have announced plans to ramp up tech hiring locally.
On Thursday, Glassdoor said it would expand its Chicago headcount, leasing 17,000 additional square feet to accommodate the growth. On Friday, locally-based chatbot firm XSell technologies said it would add 500 jobs over the next three years. An XSell spokeswoman told the Chicago Tribune that the company, currently based at 170 N. Sagamon St., planned to relocate to nearby 404 N. Armour St. in West Town. It wasn’t clear how much additional space the new XSell headquarters would entail.
“Chicago has the best talent in the world for our business,” said Brendan Downing, XSell president. “No other city possesses the same level of emotional intelligence and technology abilities that allow our team to better understand consumers around the world.”
Glassdoor will now occupy 52,000 square feet at 1330 W. Fulton Market, the Tribune reported.
