Work begins on Buda Oaks Living

Partners Journeyman Group and Civitas Senior Living began construction on Buda Oaks Living, an 86-unit assisted-living facility at 1200 Calebas Dr. in Buda, TX, south of Austin. The 65,000-square-foot building is going north on 2.1 acres and, when completed in January 2020, will offer 66 assisted-living units and 20 memory care beds.

The partners also have begun construction on The Philomena, another assisted-living facility in nearby Kyle, TX, but indicated the need for more assisted-living projects in the area. “When we looked at our demographics in this area, the need came up to be three times as much as what we’re building here,” Journeyman Group’s Sam Kumar told Community Impact.
