Whole Foods Taking 50K SF at Penn Plaza Development
Whole Foods Markets’ East Liberty (Pittsburgh) store will relocate from its current location on Centre Avenue to take 50,000 square feet at LG Realty Advisors’ East Liberty Marketplace. The grocer will anchor the planned mixed-use development, on the site of LG Realty’s multifamily property.
Whole Foods has been at its 32,000-square-foot location since 2002. A need for more space prompted the grocer’s move to East Liberty Marketplace. Construction on the new store will launch in early 2017. “We love the East Liberty community and are as committed to this neighborhood today as we were in 2002 when we first opened in the area,” said Scott Allshouse with Whole Foods.
