WeWork Takes Full Building in 61K-SF Lease

WeWork is expanding once again, with two leases totaling over 105,000 square feet in Midtown South. In the larger of the two deals, JLL represented owner Winter Properties in a full-building, 15-year lease for 61,375 square feet at 57 E. 11th St.

“The combination of the location, the boutique nature of the building and the renovations completed by Winter Properties created a great deal of interest in this asset,” said JLL’s Alex Chudnoff. “We saw so much demand from tenants looking for anything from a single floor to the entire building that we could have leased 57 E. 11th several times over.”

Chudnoff and his JLL colleagues Jonathan Fanuzzi and Kip Orban, represented ownership, along with Winter Properties’ Jay Stark and Scott Milsom. WeWork was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Bruce Mosler and Ethan Silverstein.

In a separate deal, WeWork leased 44,945 square feet at Epic Properties’ 148 Lafayette St.
