WeWork Inks Deal for Third Fulton Market Space

WeWork signed up for its third Fulton Market location, taking 89,500 square feet at 1155 W. Fulton St., representing all the property’s available office space. The building, now in the late stages of a comprehensive modernization and repositioning program, is owned by a joint venture of Barnett Capital Ltd. and Domus Special Situations Group.

“The overall excitement for and momentum in the Fulton Market District is moving West from Halsted Street,” said Barnett’s Elan Peretez.  “We acquired this property, and a series of others, in the belief that in a few short years Fulton and Racine will be the center of the Fulton Market district. With this lease to WeWork, we believe that we are helping to move things in that direction.”

The co-working giant has 13 locations open or announced across Fulton Market, West Loop, the Loop and River North. It recently cracked the one-million-square-foot barrier in Chicago.

Connect Chicago Fall 2019 will take place Oct. 29 in Chicago. For more information, or to register, click here.
