WeWork Embraces the City of Romance

WeWork has plans to open a new co-working space in Paris, France. The Parisian space, which will open in April 2017, consumes 133,000 square-feet, and is at 33 Rue La Fayette. The facility is designed to accommodate more than 2,000 workers.

A few months ago, WeWork raised $260 million in Series F funding from Chinese investor Jin Jiang International Hotels. WeWork is also expecting to receive an investment from SoftBank for $4 billion. Despite the strong financial backing, many French co-working competitors believe that they are better suited to serve the market, as they are more closely in tune with government regulations and the labor pool.

Currently, WeWork is in 32 cities, and this will mark its first in France.
