WeWork Brings Kaufman’s Madison Sq. Properties to 100% Leased

WeWork has committed to an 11,818-square-foot, 10-year lease at the Kaufman Organization’s 15 W. 27th St., occupying the property’s ninth and 10th floors. The coworking provider’s deal brings occupancy to 100% for both 15W27 and Kaufman’s entire four-building Madison Square portfolio, which the company acquired in April 2014.

“Over the past four years, we have consistently attracted innovative, creative and impactful tenants to our Madison Square Portfolio,” said Kaufman principal Grant Greenspan. “WeWork’s choice to showcase its co-working concept at 15W27 is a testament to how well the building’s turnkey, flexible, loft-style spaces featuring top-tier technology appeal across a variety of firms, industries and professional uses.”

Greenspan, Elliot Warren and Michael Heaner of Kaufman represented both the landlord and the tenant in the transaction. WeWork is expected to take occupancy in early fall. Kaufman has granted the company a tenant allowance to build out the duplex space at 15W27.
