WeWork Acquires Long-Time Partner

WeWork, a national firm that leases shared office space, made its first buy with the purchase of Case, a building-information and modeling consultancy firm. The acquisition is intended for WeWork to better design the office spaces it operates.

Case, which has about 80 employees across the globe, assists WeWork with helping to understand how many desks are needed to fill an office and other interior-architectural needs. The company launched in 2008 out of one of WeWork’s locations and the two firms started working together shortly afterward.

WeWork, based in New York City, with locations around the world, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and the East Bay, leases its spaces to companies for a variety of needs, including remote workers, startups and temporary locations.
