Westview Renovation Wraps Up with New Tenant
Prescott Group completed capital improvements to the Westview office building near Austin’s capitol district. The Dallas-based owner had also signed a new tenant to the space; specifically, a 15,400-square-foot lease with architectural and engineering firm CTA.
JLL’s Rachel Coulter and Kevin Kimbrough represented Prescott Group. John Gump with CBRE negotiated on behalf of the tenant.
Westview, at 316 W. 12th St., underwent an 18-month renovation to create a cutting-edge, creative work environment. The 100,000-square-foot building was gutted to the shell, then renovated with a new building core, MEP systems and expanded floor plates. Andersson-Wise Architects was the architect of record for the renovation.
Prescott Group acquired the property in 2016 from the Texas State Teachers Association. The association, in turn, owned the building since it delivered in the early 1950s.
