West Park at Downtown Site Plan Approved
The Tyler (TX) City Council approved a new site plan for a development, West Park at Downtown, being planned on 3.8 acres across from city hall. The acreage, which once was home to King Chevrolet, is on its way to becoming a mixed-use development that will offer 112 rental units and 4,000 square feet of retail space.
Developer Scarborough Realty Partners LLC presented the upgraded site plan to the Tyler Planning and Zoning Commission in early July 2018. The project will go north at West Erwin Street and North Bonner Avenue, with construction planned to launch by the end of 2018.
The city sold the land to Scarborough in early 2017; Tyler has owned the property and portions of the surrounding area for about a decade. The estimated price tag on West Park at Downtown is $12 million.
