Weitzman to Redevelop 158K-SF Fielder Plaza
Weitzman unveiled plans for a major renovation of Fielder Plaza, one of Arlington, TX’s oldest grocery-anchored retail centers. The redevelopment of the 157,575-square-foot center at 1701 W. Randol Mill Rd. is geared toward modernizing the property, which opened in 1978.
The center is anchored by a 52,000-square-foot Tom Thumb grocery store; the grocer will renovate and modernize the interior, with Weitzman handling upgrades to the exterior. Renovations to the remainder of the property will include a new façade and signage, upgraded landscaping and parking, and new lighting. Weitzman will also include seating, arbors, green space and other pedestrian-friendly enhancements.
The remodel’s architect is Hodges & Associates. Weitzman’s Joe Lea is directing renovation on behalf of the center’s ownership. Weitzman’s Kathy Detrick is overseeing construction. Weitzman’s brokerage division team of Matt Luedtke and Michael Sweet direct the leasing; property management is under the purview of Allyson Flynn, also with Weitzman.
