Waterton Completes “Top-to-Bottom” Renovation at River North Rentals

Waterton completed the $15-million renovation of River North Park, a 400-unit, 24-story apartment tower in the River North neighborhood. Waterton is the operator, design and construction manager and minority equity partner of the asset, which is majority-owned by Angelo Gordon.

Upgrades to River North Park include a rebuilt rooftop deck, a redesigned resident lounge and collaboration area, an updated lobby with 24-hour door attendant, upgraded interior hallways and a modernized, 24-hour fitness center. Waterton also completed several improvements and repairs to the building envelope and front-entry canopy.

“This was a top-to-bottom renovation catering to residents who seek a convenient location near restaurants, bars, shopping, and top-tier entertainment, and a highly desirable, commute-free, amenity packed lifestyle,” said Lela Cirjakovic, EVP of operations at Waterton.

River North Park was originally built in 1986. Angelo Gordon acquired its majority stake in December 2016.

Connect Chicago Fall 2019 will take place Oct. 29 in Chicago. For more information, or to register, click here.
