Watermark Acquires 21 Acres, Plans 360-Unit MF in Colorado Springs

Watermark Residential, a wholly owned affiliate of Thompson Thrift, acquired nearly 21 acres of land in Colorado Springs for the development of Ascent by Watermark, a three-story, 360-unit resort-style apartment community. Construction on the project will begin later this month, with an expected completion date of fall 2022.

Watermark’s Jessica Tuttle says, “We are excited to start construction on our second multifamily development in Colorado Springs, which continues to rank as one of the most desirable places to live in the country.”

Located at Tutt Boulevard and Powerwood View, Ascent by Watermark will consist of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Apartments will feature gourmet bar-kitchens, walk-in closets, and garden tubs, with many offering detached garages.

The gated community will include a clubhouse with TVs, conference rooms, technology centers; a 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment and virtual training kiosks and spinning rooms; a swimming pool with cabanas and entertainment areas and pet-friendly bark parks and doggie spas.
