Vystar Acquires 200K-SF Worcester Furniture Store

Vystar Corp. has acquired Rotmans Furniture and Carpet., a 200,000-square-foot furniture store in Worcester. The sales price was reported as $2 million in cash and stocks.

Located at 725 Southbridge St., the furniture and flooring store is the largest in New England. Vystar manufacturers environmentally safe and biodegradable rubber latex products. The acquisition will not impact the Rotmans store name or business.

Rotmans and Vystar are each based in Worcester and both are led by Steven Rotman. According to Rotman, the transaction is aimed at shifting the private furniture business into a publicly-traded company.
