Venture One to Develop 1M-SF Amazon Center in Will County

Amazon will open a one-million-square-foot fulfillment center in Channahon, IL. The center, being developed by Venture One Real Estate, will join five other Amazon facilities in south suburban Will County.

The facility will be part of Venture One’s Crossroads 55 development. Amazon expects to have it up and running a year from now.

Employees at the Channahon fulfillment center will pick, pack and ship large customer items, such as sports equipment, patio furniture, fishing rods, pet food, kayaks, bicycles and larger household goods.

“This significant jobs announcement is another sign that Illinois’ future is bright, and I’m excited to see Amazon build on its investment in Illinois with 500 new jobs in the south suburbs,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “Illinois is the transportation hub of the Midwest, and our workforce is among the best in the world.”

Connect Chicago Fall 2019 will take place Oct. 29 in Chicago. For more information, or to register, click here.
