VARIDESK Claims 424K-SF Former Zale Headquarters

VARIDESK acquired a three-story, Class A building, Vista Office Park, former headquarters of Zale Corp. The office furniture company is planning to redevelop the 424,000-square-foot building at 901 W. Walnut Hill Lane in Irving, TX, into want it calls an “active workspace environment.” Special services company CW Capital Asset Management was the seller.

Situated on 15.2 acres, the building delivered in 1983, and includes a four-level parking garage, fitness center, cafeteria and conference facilities. VARIDESK, with help from Cawley Partners, was self-represented. Robert Deptula and Mike Jardage with Transwestern represented the seller.

Johnny Johnson and Chris Taylor with Cushman & Wakefield, are working with VARIDESK to assist with the redevelopment, and perform the lease-up. Corgan is the architect and interior designer on the project to reposition the building.

Kay Jewelers acquired Zale Corp. in 2014 and, with Jared brands, moved into a 250,000-square-foot, build-to-suit office building in Coppell’s Cypress Waters in 2017.
