Urbanspace Will Bring Food Hall to GFP’s 100 Pearl

Food hall and marketplace curator Urbanspace signed a 14,722-square-foot lease at 100 Pearl St. in Lower Manhattan’s Financial District. The lease marks the company’s second New York City signing since March 2020 and sixth food hall in the city.

“It has been a devastating year for restaurants, but our food halls offer a supportive space where chefs can build a community, showcase their talents, and thrive—and that support is more important in this climate than ever before,” said Eldon Scott, president of Urbanspace.

James Race, SVP of real estate at Urbanspace, represented the brand. Newmark vice chairman Benjamin Birnbaum and associate director Andrew Taub represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate.

GFP’s Brian Steinwurtzel said, “We believe that the addition of Urbanspace will not only be a great amenity for the tenants in our building but will also provide a welcoming space for the rest of the surrounding downtown neighborhood.”
