Urbanspace Plans Second Downtown Food Hall
Food hall operator Urbanspace plans to open its second Chicago location, with a 12,000-square-foot space at the former home of Woolworth’s flagship store. The food hall at 15 W. Washington will join one recently announced at the Willis Tower and scheduled to open in 2020.
“We are thrilled to be in Chicago, one of the greatest food cities in the world. We look forward to bringing a diverse group of talented chefs and smaller food entrepreneurs from Chicago’s many neighborhoods to the downtown area,” said Urbanspace president Eldon Scott.
“Each of our food halls is unique to the neighborhood where they are located,” he added. 15 W. Washington will have a different vibe than Willis Tower. Both locations will be places where creativity and community can thrive in beautiful spaces.”
CBRE’s Amira Yunis and Phil Golding represented Urbanspace. A fall 2019 opening is planned.
