Urban Commons Names Salvatore Takoushian President, CFO

Los Angeles-based Urban Commons appointed Salvatore G. Takoushian President and CFO. The real estate investment banking veteran, who specializes in the lodging and hospitality sector, joins from Jefferies Group LLC.

Takoushian will be responsible for overseeing strategy, company operations, financial partnerships and acquisitions. He brings more than 16 years of investment banking experience advising lodging and real estate companies. He has managed the execution of public and private capital raises in excess of $25 billion, and more than $20 billion in merger and acquisition transactions.

The addition of Takoushian comes ahead of Urban Commons’ largest hospitality asset acquisition by value to-date, The Wagner at the Battery, New York City, formerly known as The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park.

At Jefferies, he served as Managing Director in the Real Estate and Lodging Investment Banking Division. Earlier in his career, Takoushian spent 11 years within the investment banking division of Citigroup Global Markets.

Dennis Kaiser is Vice President of Public Relations and Communications for Connect Creative. Dennis has also worked on communications and launch strategies for a number of consumer electronic, media and tech brands including SlingMedia, Channel Master, Deluxe Media Entertainment, BeIn Sports, EchoStar and Sprint. Dennis’s agency background included firms such as Off Madison Ave., Idea Hall and Macy + Associates. He has earned an outstanding reputation with organization leaders as a trusted advisor, strategic program implementer, consensus builder and exceptional collaborator. Dennis has developed and managed national communications programs for Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, both public and private. He’s successfully worked with journalists across the globe representing clients involved in major-breaking news stories, product launches, media tours, and company news announcements.
