Underused Milwaukee Mall Slated for Makeover

Owners of Grand Avenue mall are focused on new uses for the 300,000-square-foot property in downtown Milwaukee. Tony Janowiec, the property’s owner and a principal owner at Interstate Parking Co. and Aggero Group LLC, indicated that plans call for redevelopment including a major office tenant and a grocery store.

Located at 275 W. Wisconsin Ave., the retail property has been underused as a mall. However, as it’s in the same location as the new Buckler and MKE Lofts apartments, Janowiec is interested in readapting the mall to the market, which consists mainly of millennials.

Investor groups led by Interstate Parking and Aggero acquired the mall and its parking structure for $24.6 million in December.
