Uber Steers into 290K-SF Deal in Sunnyvale
Uber Technologies, Inc. signed a 290,000-square-foot lease at 190 and 200 Mathilda Place in Sunnyvale, CA. It is the ride-hailing company’s first big South Bay deal, according to San Jose Spotlight.
The properties are near Sunnyvale’s Caltrain station and across from CityLine Sunnyvale, a Whole Foods-anchored mixed-use development (pictured) underway by Sares Regis of Northern California, Hunter Storm and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. One of the spaces, 190 Mathilda, was formerly occupied by San Jose-based chipmaker Broadcom Inc., which is shrinking its Bay Area presence.
JLL’s David Churton represented the tenant. The landlord, SPF Mathilda LLC, was advised by CBRE’s Jeff Houston and Cushman & Wakefield’s Steve Horton.
