U.S. Travel Association Strongly Encourages Mask Usage

Adhering to healthy travel practices, including wearing a mask is strongly encouraged this summer, according to U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow.

“While Americans move about certain regions of the country, we are keenly aware of the increase in cases as we head into the Fourth of July holiday weekend, traditionally a busy period for travel,” said Dow in a statement. “The travel community strongly urges visitors and residents alike to wear masks and adhere to all healthy practices, such as physical distancing, frequent hand washing and remaining home if sick—no matter where you may be traveling in the country.

As of July 6, nearly 2.9 million COVID-19 cases have been reported nationwide and at least 127,000 have died of the virus in the United States.
