Tyler Classical Academy Construction Underway

Construction has begun on a new campus for the Tyler Classical Academy, a charter school operated by Responsive Education Solutions. The $6.5-million, 30,000-square-foot campus will be situated on 22 acres at 3405 E. Grande Blvd. in Tyler, TX, with scheduled completion by July 2017. The new campus will be open in time for the 2017-2018 school year, and will include a gym, two school buildings and sports fields.

Tyler Classical Academy is currently using space previously occupied by Stepping Stone School at 3105 University Blvd. According to Keith Garcia, the academy’s director, the goal is for the campus to eventually hold three sections of every grade level, from kindergarten through eighth grade. Garcia also said the Classical Academy will remain separate from Premiere High School in Tyler, which is also owned and operated by Responsive Education Solutions.
