Trez Forman Arranges Financing for Shops at Broad

Geyer Morris Co. secured financing totaling $59.4 million to develop Shops at Broad in Mansfield, TX. Russ Holland with Trez Forman Capital Group, a bridge lender, arranged the financing for the 193,825-square-foot center at 1701 E. Broad St.

Shops at Broad is being built on 58 acres, and will be anchored by Belk, T.J. Maxx and Aldi. Starbucks, Five Guys and FLIX Brewhouse also signed on as tenants. Adjacent to the project is Star Center, an ice rink affiliated with the NHL’s Dallas Stars.

“We loved this deal because the developer is creating a destination center in an area undergoing a commercial building boom to satisfy a pent-up demand for quality retail and restaurants,” said Trez Forman’s Brett Forman. Forman and colleague Ross Holland arranged for the financing. “The Star Center and fieldhouse alone are expected to attract more than 1.5 million visitors a year which will deliver traffic to our client’s tenants,” Forman added.
