Trez Capital Provides $26M for Holiday Inn Express Downtown Atlanta
Canadian-based private real estate lender Trez Capital has provided a $25.5 million first mortgage for a local investment company to acquire and renovate the 173-room Holiday Inn Express hotel in downtown Atlanta. The sales price of the property was not disclosed.
Located at 111 Cone St. NW, the property was originally built in 1922 and last renovated in 2012. The property includes a small convenience store and a 5,000-square-foot-restaurant that is currently vacant. Hotel operations will continue during the renovations, which are slated to be completed in summer 2021.
The borrowers are HIE Development LLC and CG Management LLC. Brett Forman originated the loan on behalf of Trez Capital.
