Transit-Oriented Development Earns Placentia Approval
Connect Apartments is just around the corner on September 28th in Los Angeles. Here’s where to get more information and register.
The Placentia, CA City Council unanimously approved a development agreement for a five-story, 215-unit luxury apartment development proposed by a pair of Newport Beach, CA-based firms, Integral Communities and Lyon Living. The transit-oriented complex is planned for a 2.95-acre site on Crowther Avenue in the Packing House District, on a site that formerly housed a Boys & Girls Club.
The product mix includes 100 single-bedroom and 115 two-bedroom units, ranging in size from 734 to 1,185 square feet. Amenities include a clubhouse, pool and fitness center atop a seven-story parking structure. There are 494 parking spaces planned, 39 with electric-vehicle charging stations, as well as 44 bicycle parking spaces and 48 bike storage lockers
The city is hoping the project will serve as a “catalyst” for more residential and economic development, including mixed-use developments near the new Metrolink station set to open by 2020.
